High Intensity Training is something even the most de-conditioned individual can tolerate.
Every piece of equipment used is set according to your body, taking into account any special requirements or limitations you as the client might have.
You do not need to get in great shape before starting with me. My job is to help you every step of the way, working at your level to achieve your desired results.

I specialize in providing a solution to these common mistakes by using High Efficiency Training protocols that teach you to move slowly and safely through an exercise to ensure the right amount of constant tension is applied to the muscles. By doing this, the body receives clear signals that the muscle must become stronger. By going slow, and applying constant tension, the body is able to reach thresholds that cause a positive adaptive response.
I will facilitate and develop a training program that will assist you in taking you farther than you ever thought possible, helping you better understand your body, and the positive impact exercise can have on it. You will learn to train harder, by taking out the guesswork, giving you the right amount of exercise to ensure positive results. All exercises will be guided by me, and documented to ensure progression with visible results.
Training sessions are scheduled at 5-7 day intervals to allow the body ample time to recover, and see positive changes. The defining factor becomes quality not quantity that causes the body to change. Muscle is developed through the process of stress, recovery and adaptation. When you effectively train the muscles once-a-week, this allows them ample time to repair and recover.

Sara is a certified fitness trainer with over 15 years experience in the industry training clients. She adheres to the principles of High Intensity Training and most often trains clients one time weekly. Sara received a B.S. in Business and Behavioral Science from Oregon State University, which has helped her develop a strong client following, and grasp what her clients’ truly need when coming in for a workout. She has traveled to the UK, and studied at the European Institute of Fitness to expand her training knowledge, and better help her clients. She holds both a certification from The International Association of Resistance Trainers (IART) and International Sports Science Association (ISSA).
I can truly say my avocation has become my vocation. While fitness has been
a passion of mine for many years, I never thought of it as something I could
make a life-long career out of. All these years later, I have not looked back!
When I strive to be the best part of my clients’ day, they in turn become the best part of mine. I love the idea of working out intensely one-time weekly. The challenge, the results, I was a skeptic. I did not believe once-a-week training could work.
In terms of my weight training, I had to take a step back,
and recognize more is not better! When the muscles are tired and over-trained, they are not able to work as hard."
Sara has a passion for fitness that is evident as she truly practices what she preaches. Most often when she is not training clients, she is out for a run. She motivates, inspires, and pushes clients to do and be their best. When you work with Sara, you will find she is detail oriented and will develop a training program tailored to meet her clients’ needs. Clients who work with Sara will not only improve their physical capacity, but their mind will become strong as well. Sara believes anyone can have the title personal trainer, but it takes actual skill to be able to get into someone’s head, and know what to say and how to say it that makes all the difference.
Sara’s key to success is her constant dedication and gratitude. If you have the desire, then go for it. She constantly reminds people that if they want it, they will get it. If the goal is to achieve weight-loss or a single pull-up, they will do it if that is their focus. Things are not accomplished by having a good idea, but they are accomplished by having an indomitable will. Sara is passionate about training and passionate about people.
Sara is not here by her own volition, but she is here because of all the people willing to invest their time and energy into her success. For you, she wants to do the same. Whether your fitness goals are small or big, Sara would consider it a privilege to be a part of your success.
Sara makes her home in Bend, Oregon and enjoys the active lifestyle Bend offers. Sara enjoys running, flying, traveling everywhere, learning new things, reading and eating. Sara has run 12 marathons, and several local races in Bend.

As a fitness trainer, I take your fitness goals seriously. I understand that losing weight, gaining muscle and having a body you feel good in, can be challenging, and my goal as your trainer is to help you overcome hurdles and reach your fitness goals. This is not a one size fits all approach, but an approach that is sized to each person coming into me. If I don't think I can help you, I will just tell you.
